18th, 2017 of Clarence

Joseph Cormier of North Carleton, aged 68 years. Clarence was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to his father Joe Cormier and his mother, the late Alma (nee Arsenault) Cormier. Beloved husband of Pauline (nee DesRoches) Cormier and loving father of Neil (Anne) and Leon (Celine). Stepfather to David (Tracy) Gillis and Michael (Jennifer) Gillis. Also lovingly remembered by his four grandchild­ren Luke, Dru, Jack and Brynn. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Doreen Cormier, Elmer, Edward, Roma (Lloyd) Arsenault, Earl (Brenda), Laura (Chisholm) MacKinnon, Elvin (Tammy), Lorne (Karen), Janet (Greg) Fielding, Brian (Michelle) and Roger (Kim). Besides his mother, Clarence was predecease­d by his first wife Joyce (nee Mallett) Cormier and his brother Norman Cormier. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, March 23rd, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Clarence’s memory to St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciate­d.
