16, 2017, of

Robert Stevenson, of Cavendish, aged 82.

Robert was the beloved husband of Nancie Stevenson (nee

Myers, MacEwen); stepfather of Tim MacEwen and step-grandfathe­r of Kaeleb and Khiym MacEwen. He was the loving father of Nancy Sherry (Thomas) of Fernwood, and Brian Stevenson (Kim Doucette) and Terry Stevenson, of Cavendish. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandsons, Christophe­r Sherry (Johanne) and Andrew Sherry; and special great-grandson Robert Griffin Sherry. Robert is also survived by his brother, Bill (Ellen); and sisters, Shirley Monsebraat­en (Art) and Norma Gronning (Clancy); brothers-inlaw, Byron Cutcliffe (Diane) and Paul Francis (Ann); and sisterin-law, Faye Moase (Edgar). He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. Robert was predecease­d by his first wife, Wanda (Francis) Stevenson; his parents, Olaf and Ellen (Sharpe) Stevenson; his brother, John; sister, Barbara; and parents-in-law, Everett and Vinie Francis. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral will be held at Cavendish United Church, on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment in Cavendish Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Robert’s memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society or the Cavendish Cemetery would be appreciate­d.
