The death occurred suddenly at Christophe­r Cross on Tuesday May 16, 2017 of Maynard Butler, Tignish aged 83 years. Beloved husband of the late

Adeline Butler.

He was born in Miminegash on September 14, 1933, the son of the late George and Winifred (McCormick) Butler. Dear father to Joey (Corinna), Miminegash; Alyre, Miminegash; Virginia/ Jenny (Jeff) Froese, Saskatoon; Lloyd (Natalia), Saskatoon; John (puppy Dupont), Harper Road; Jonas (Jen Lindsay), Saskatoon; Monica (Francis Currie), Tignish; Bridgette (Doug Parker), Summerside. Loving grandfathe­r and great grandfathe­r to numerous grandchild­ren and great grandchild­ren. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Freda Wedge, Harry, Freddie (Agnes), Shirley McKay, Leo (Joe), Edward (Agnes) and sisters-in-law Eleanor and Eileen. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Teresa O’Rourke, Elsie (Frank) Murnaghan, Frances (Ivan) Chaisson, Helen Perry, Lucy (Wendell) Cahill, Sylvia (Tom) Sweet, Evelyn Malone, Phyllis Conway, Rev. Greg Conway, Christina (Emile), sister-in-law Pauline and brother-in-law Roger. He was predecease­d by parents George and Winnifred, brothers Calvin, Maurice and Lloyd in infancy, sister Jean, granddaugh­ter Natasha, mother and father-in-law Joseph and May Conway, brothers and sister-in-law Alyre, Everett, Kathleen, Ralph, Mary & Pat, Gertie, Timmy, Nelson and Earl. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road for visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 9-10 a.m. Funeral will be held Friday May 19, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to Immaculate Conception Church Repair Fund or Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciate­d. Interment in the church cemetery.
