The funeral for the late Clarence John Chaisson of the Tignish Seniors Coop Home was held on Friday may 12, 2017 from the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton to St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Brendon Gallant who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on. The Pascal candle was lit by brother Roger Chaisson and sister Louise Gavin. The first reading was addressed by Tanya Chaisson. The second reading was addressed by Jessica Chaisson. The prayers of the faithfull were invited by Janet Dawson. The gifts were presented at the alter by Joanne Gaudet and Fallon Gaudet. The Eucharisti­c ministers was Louis Shea. The Crucifer was Charles Bernard and the candle bearers were Clarence Gallant and Louis Shea. The choir was under the direction of the cantor Vincent Doucette. The organist was Antoinette Perry. The procession­al hymn was Amazing Grace. The psalm was The Lord is my Shepherd. The offertory hymn was Come to the Water. The Communion hymn was Gifts of Finest Wheat. Post Communion hymn, Go Rest High On That Mountain was rendered by Blair Gaudet (Guitar) and Marcella Gaudet (Flutist) The song of fairwell was Songs of the Angles. The recessiona­l hymn was How Great Thou Art. The Pallbearer­s were, Dale Gaudet, Leonard Buote, Claude Gavin, Michael McHugh, Brian Arsenault, Darren Chaisson. The flower bearers were Tammy Downey, Brenda Richard, Diane Buote, Joanne Buote, Addison MacAusland. Staff and residents from the Tignish Seniors Cop Home attended in a groupe. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. Brendon Gallant officiatin­g.
