KENSINGTON – Rhys Caseley’s lead-by-example actions on the ice has earned him the Greco Pizza/Capt. Sub student-athlete of the month at Kensington Intermediate-Senior High School (KISH).

The Grade 12 student recently played a key role at the centre position in the Kensington Torchmen winning the annual high school hockey tournament, which was hosted by KISH.

“He was a quiet leader and was only one of three Grade 12s on the hockey team. He scored big goals every game all week, including scoring in the shootout of the championship game as well. “His work ethic each shift was noticed by the young team, and was another example of him being a quiet leader.” KISH athletic director and hockey coach Brett Corcoran
