Centennial Certified not your typical dealership

-

Centennial Certified of Charlottetown is the most trusted used car dealer in the province with one of the best inventories of used vehicles around. With access to Centennial Group of Companies’ approximate 250 used cars, trucks and SUVs, general manager Tyler McLellan said there’s something for everyone.

“We’re trying to sell the cleanest, best used cars on Prince Edward Island. We don’t give a typical look for a used car dealership.”

McLellan said having access to so many different vehicles means his team doesn’t have to push a customer into the car in front of them.

“If it’s not a good feeling for someone we’ll find them the one they want.”

While many dealership’s used inventory is limited to recent trade-ins, McLellan said Centennial Certified always has something fresh. “There’s not a day goes by we don’t have something new rolling into inventory. We’re fortunate to be attached the Centennial Group of Companies. Access to all the used cars makes us very unique.” Centennial Certified will celebrate its first anniversary in June, and McLellan said so far it’s been a smooth ride thanks to the cheerful atmosphere and the dealer’s honest sales policy. “We’ve never had a bad experience. Everything is up front, we go over everything. It’s not a pushy sale and we take care of business up front.” McLellan said the buzz around the island has been high for consumers looking for used vehicles.

“We get a lot of positive feedback from people who have bought cars, our referrals are really good.”

Buying a used vehicle means the previous owner took the hit on the depreciation, while the new owner enjoys a much lower payment. Beaters and lemons are nowhere to be found in Centennial Certified’s inventory, he said.

“A lot of the vehicles we deal with are only a couple years old so they have existing warranties, with options for extended warranties.”

Not just any used vehicle will make it on to the lot, he noted.

“For our lot specifically, they’re handpicked. We’re not trying to look like just a used car lot, it’s clean stuff.”

With all makes and models passing through, McLellan said it’s a broad inventory. “There’s an $8,000 Nissan Versa, and then there’s a $60,000 Corvette beside it. We’re trying to cover as much as the market as we can. We treat people that buy an $8,000 vehicle the same as an $80,000 vehicle.”
