Shiny, new and exciting

Centennial Nissan of Summerside brings familiar faces to cutting-edge dealership

- BY TY DUNHAM

It’s shiny and new on the outside with cutting edge technology inside, but at its heart Centennial Nissan of Summerside is full of familiar faces.

Dean Gallant, general sales manager, said customers will feel at home even if they’re walking through the doors for the first time.

“We’re pleased to have built a team here with a lot of familiar faces, faces people all over the Island will recognize and trust. People will come in and feel they can trust the many, many years of experience in the automotive industry.”

From the smooth ride of its vehicles to the showroom amenities available for customers, Nissan is all about comfort. A tablet station will make the time fly by while waiting for automotive work, or customers can relax by the lounge bar. And the drive-thru means never having to get soaked in the rain; simply drive the vehicle in without having to leave the building.

Gallant said the friendly atmosphere, no-pressure sales and upfront pricing will ease the minds of new customers. “People of Summerside can be assured customer focus is the main priority. We’ll do nothing today to hurt our business tomorrow.”

If there’s more to be excited about than the state-of-the-art facility it’s the product, and Centennial Nissan has a fleet to cater to any lifestyle.

The 2017, Qashqai has been a hit in Europe with its exception styling, and is sure to turn heads when it arrives in Canada. Slightly smaller than Nissan’s best-selling Rogue, higher trim models will include forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure prevention and intelligent cruise control.

“This will be great for the younger clientele who aren’t ready for a larger vehicle, or maybe on the opposite end maybe they don’t need the mid size SUV,” Gallant said.

The 2017 Titan has Gallant and his team excited for truck buyers on the Island.

“We’ve been using a 5.6 litre engine that’s proven very reliable with great horsepower. I’ve towed with various types of trucks and the Titan was the best for towing. It was solid and stable on the road.”

Fully redesigned last year, 2017 saw the release of the crew cab and the contractor friendly single cab with an eight-foot bed. The Titan also carries Canada’s best truck warranty with five years, bringing peace of mind to consumers with its fiveyear, 160,000 kilometre comprehensive coverage.

Nissan owners enjoy knowing their vehicles are prime in the used car market, Gallant said. “Nissan has been very good at holding resale. Going forward that will increase. The resale will be there in the future.” Gallant and his team are looking forward to building the brand to a whole new level, he said.

“Whether it’s one of the compacts or SUV or truck line up we firmly believe the Nissan brand is going to have a lot of growth.”
