West Prince tops Central Queens

-

The P.E.I. Soccer Association summer leagues have begun. Two Prince County under-13 Premier teams – Kensington girls and West Prince boys – posted shutouts in their respective games on Wednesday night.

Jesse Labobe had a perfect night in goal for West Prince. Labobe earned the shutout to backstop West Prince to a 2-0 decision over Central Queens in the P.E.I. Subway Under-13 Boys Soccer League (Premier Division).

Noah Cormier opened the scoring in the first half, and the score remained 1-0 until Evan LeClair added an insurance marker in the second half.

The game, which marked the openers for both teams in the 2017 regular season, was played at the Central Queens Soccer Complex.
