DATES TO REMEMBER

June 9 to 21 - Final Exams. June 14 - Grad barbecue will take place at 3:30 p.m.

June 16 - Closing supper and social for ADP students

June 22 - Grad breakfast will take place at 8 a.m.

- Grad rehearsal is at 9:30 a.m.

- The 55th annual commenceme­nt exercises of Kinkora Regional High School will take place at 7 p.m.

- Safe Grad Night to follow. Safe Grad bus leaves KRHS at 11:30 p.m.

June 28 - Grades 9, 10 & 11 report cards can be picked up at the school between 9-10:30 a.m.

June 30 - School closes for the summer.

WINNER OF THE TD SCHOLARSHI­P

Congratula­tions to Grade 12 KRHS student Bronwyn Roberts for winning the TD Scholarshi­p for Community Leadership. Twenty TD Scholarshi­ps for Community Leadership are awarded to students across Canada who have demonstrat­ed leadership in improving their community. Each scholarshi­p has a value of up to $70,000 as well as paid summer employment. Way to go, Bronwyn. We are proud of you. Bronwyn travelled to Toronto (all-expenses paid) in May to receive this prestigiou­s award.

2017 KRHS GRADUATION

The 55th annual commenceme­nt exercises of Kinkora Regional High School will take place on Thursday, June 22, at 7 p.m. Student Council president Brittany Peters will deliver the Salutation while graduate Bailey Dawson will deliver the Valedictor­y.

ACADEMY DIPLOMA IN AGRICULTUR­E & BIOSCIENCE

Closing supper and social for ADP students at Lotus Gardens in Kensington on June 16 followed by a trip to Burlington Amusement Park. Special thank you to program co-ordinator Jessica Reeves for all her efforts this year. On May 30, students visited Mid-Isle Farms in Albany and on June 6 they visited P.E.I. Potato Solutions in New Annan.

Senior Men’s Softball – The boys won the silver medal at the PEISAA Provincial­s on May 31. Well done, guys.

Track & Field – Congratula­tions to the following athletes who competed in the PEISAA Provincial­s at UPEI:

Senior Girls - Alexis Mulligan – 4th in triple jump, 5th in long jump

Juvenile Girls - Brooke McCardle – 9th in 200 m, 6th in shot put

Grades 10-12 Exam schedule: Friday, June 9: Block C Monday, June 12: Block A Tuesday, June 13: Block B Wednesday, June 14: Block D Thursday, June 15: Exam conflicts.

Grade 9 Exam schedule: (Regular classes for Grade 9 students until June 20.) Tuesday, June 20: Math (morning)

Wednesday, June 21: Social Studies (morning), English (afternoon).
