Wendell J. Gallant Scholarship awarded
Hannah Hardy was awarded the 2017 Wendell J. Gallant Scholarship from the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce at the golf awards reception on June 2. Her father, Andrew Hardy, an employee at Vector Aerospace, was on hand to share in the celebration. Hannah will be attending UPEI in the fall for a Bachelor of Science with a major in Kinesiology. This scholarship is available to students entering a post-secondary program and who are a son or daughter of a Chamber of Commerce member or a member’s employee. It was established by the family of Wendell J. Gallant, who was president of the Chamber in 1989, with the stated intention “to enhance the future likelihood of young people contributing to the business community of the Greater Summerside area.”
