The Largely attended funeral for the late Kenneth Howard Kinch beloved husband to Karen Anne nee Perry) Kinch of Tignish was held on Tuesday July 11, 2017 from the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton to St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish where funeral mass of Con celebratio­n was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Brendon Gallant who delivered the homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on and fairwell. The Co celebrants were Rev. Charles Broderick, Rev. Albin Arenault Rev. Greg Conway. The pall was draped over the casket by wife Karen and sons Perry and Matthew and mother Freda. Karen, Perry and Matthew also lit the Pascal candle. The first reading was addressed by Ben Kinch. The second reading was addressed by Abby Kinch. The prayers of the faithfull were invited by Ted Landry. The Gifts were presented at the Alter by Mairen Kinch, Declan Kinch, Aydin Kinch. The Crucifer was Clarence Gallant and the Candle Bearers were Charles Bernard and Louis Shea. The Alter server was James Hogan. The choir was under the direction of the Cantor Vincent Doucette. The Organist was Antoinette Perry. The Procession­al hymn was How Great Thou Art. The Psalm was Rest in God Alone, Rest in God Alone, My Soul My Soul. The Offertory hymn was Lord Jesus of You I will Sing. The Communion hymn was Like A Shepherd. The Meditation hymn was Amazing Grave. The Song of Fairwell was Songs of the Angels. The Recessiona­l hymn “Hallelujah” was rendered by soloist Abby Peters accompanie­d on Guitar by Rodney Arsenault. Attending in a body were staff from the Royal Star Fisheries. The Honorary pallbearer­s were all of Kennys Soccer Team players. The Active Pallbearer­s were Brian Hogan, Richard Hogan, Wilbert Hogan, Victor Hogan, Roy Hogan and James Gallant. The flower bearers were all nieces and nephews of Kenny. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. Brendon Gallant officiatin­g. www.rooneyfh.ca
