Three men and a woman were in court Wednesday as suspects in a home invasion alleged to have happened in Borden-Carleton on the weekend. Tyler Jay, Harrison Snow, Josh Jenkins, and Jacqulyn Richard all made their first court appearance in Summerside Wednesday.

The three men were ordered to stay in jail until their next court appearance for a plea, scheduled for Aug. 16. Jacqulyn Richard was released on condition of no contact with the other men, plus an order to have no contact with witnesses. She is scheduled to make a court appearance on Aug. 17, also to enter her plea.

The alleged crimes in question began Saturday at 1:30 p.m., when a man and woman were reported to have entered a residence in Stratford and robbed a man of cash. The victim was hit with some sort of metal object, suffering minor injuries.

Police say the victim knows the female suspect. The male suspect covered his face with a hoodie or bandana. Later the same day, at around 11 p.m., two men and a woman are alleged to have entered a residence in Borden-Carleton and assaulted several people. At least two of the victims say they were struck with a baseball bat.

Again, police say some of the victims and assailants knew each other.

RCMP and Summerside Police Services located and arrested three suspects in Summerside in relation to the Borden-Carleton incident on the weekend.

A police raid Tuesday picked up the last man alleged to be involved.

That arrest was made through the co-operation of the RCMP major crime unit and the East Prince Joint Forces Operations team.

The investigation team is asking for tips from anyone that knows about these instances.
