Island athletes win 57 medals at New Brunswick Provincial Games
Island athletes brought home 57 medals from the New Brunswick Provincial Special Olympic Games.
Special Olympics P.E.I. was well represented at the New Brunswick Provincial Special Olympics Games recently.
A total of 57 athletes wore the P.E.I. colours in six different sports – softball, soccer, athletics, bocce, powerlifting and swimming.
Overall, Team P.E.I. members combined to win 57 medals in Moncton, N.B.

Softball
Team P.E.I. went 0-2 (wonlost) and placed third.
Soccer
Team P.E.I. finished with a record of 0-2. They also finished in third place.
