It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father Donald Knox who passed away peacefully on August 25, 2017 at age 71, at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia surrounded by his loved ones.

He worked as a farmer, a fisherman, on the waterfront and best known for driving a cab for many years in Halifax. He was the son of the late Elmer and Mary Knox. Beloved husband of Patsy (Shea) Knox for 49 years of marriage. He was an amazing father to Donna Knox (Keith Myers), Darlene Young (Jason Young), Darrell Knox (Vanessa Knox) and Debbie Knox. He is also survived by eight grandchildren who he loved with all his heart, Sarah Knox, Katelyn Knox-Myers, Jacob Young, Nicholas Young, Emily Young, Zoe Knox, Sadie Hawryliuk and Mackayla Hawryliuk. He was a hard working, well known and respected man. He was a kind and loving, gentleman that would give you the shirt off his back and those who remember him will always know his wit and charm will never be matched. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road for visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 9-10 a.m. Funeral will be held Wednesday August 30, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to Immaculate Conception Church Repair Fund would be greatly appreciated.
