The funeral for Donald Knox, beloved husband of Patsy Knox, Halifax, N.S., was held Wednesday August 30, 2017 from the West Prince Funeral Home to the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road where funeral mass was celebrated by Rev. Albin Arsenault who also delivered the homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on and farewell. The first reading was read by daughter Debbie Knox. The second reading was read by daughter-in-law Vanessa Knox. The prayers of the faithful were read by daughter Darlene Young. The church choir sang under the direction of Velda Gallant accompanie­d by organist Anita Doucette. Procession­al hymn was “Amazing Grace”. Psalm was “Psalm Of The Good Shepherd”. Communion hymn was “I Am The Bread Of Life”. Farewell song was “Songs Of The Angels”. Recessiona­l hymn was “How Great Thou Art”. Altar servers were Austin Bernard, Flo Delaney and Kathy Laming. Eucharisti­c ministers were Sharon Knox, Sheila Shea and Louie Shea. Honorary pallbearer­s were all family and friends who attended the funeral. Active pallbearer­s were Gary Tassell, Glen Tassell, Gary Gaudet, Bernard Campbell, Keith Myers and Darren Shea. Flowerbear­ers were all grandchild­ren Sarah Knox, Katelynn Knox, Jacob Young, Nicholas Young, Emily Young, Sadie Hawryliuk, Mackayla Hawryliuk and Zoe Knox. Following the funeral at the reception hall daughter Donna Knox delivered a special eulogy. Interment was in the church cemetery.
