The funeral for the late Helen Margaret Mary Stewart, beloved wife of the late Raymond Stewart of Glengarry, P.E.I was held on Wednesday morning August 23, 2017 from the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton to St. Marks Church, Burton Lot. 7 where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Danny Wilson who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendation and fairwell. The first scripture reading from Isaiah 65, 17-21 was addressed by granddaughter Jackie-Ann Bonisteel. The second scripture reading from Romans, 14, 7-9 was addressed by grandson Major Stewart. The prayers of the faithfull were invited by granddaughter Amber Dyer. The alter servers were granddaughters, Mavis Poirier and Martha Jane Poirier. St. Marks choir was under the direction of the organist Lorne Howard. The gathering hymn was Be Not Afraid, The psalm was The Lord is my Shepherd, The offertory hymn was Come to the Water, the communion hymn was Amazing Grace. The song of fairwell was Songs of the Angels, The recessional hymn was How Great Thou Art. Everyone in attendance were considered to be Honorary Pallbearers. The active pallbearers were Major Stewart, Colin Stewart, Ray Stewart, Chad Stewart, Danny Dalton, Daniel McDonald. The flower bearers were Mary Jane Dyer, Rolanda Dunsford, Jackie-Ann Bonisteel.The Usher was Barry Rogers, Raeford Rogers. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev.
