Social justice or Divine justice?

- Ian Kurylyk Bible Facts

“Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.” (Psalm 199:137)

The Bible teaches us to make our first concern God’s righteousness and administration of justice.

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)

As part of a process of drawing people away from the belief structures of Bible Christianity, a substitute is being advocated, social justice. As the name suggests its foundation, authority, and mode of operation is socialist-humanist.

New ideas of right and wrong are promoted to the exclusion of God and His laws.

The latest rage is to compel men to renounce their heritage if it is white. We are reminded of communism’s warped system of self-recriminations and confessions of crimes against – you guessed it – “the people.” The concept is religious by nature. It parallels God’s call to renounce sin and receive the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The knowledge of God’s justice leads people to a deep sense of their sin and to genuine sorrow over their failures.

Job said, “Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” (Job 42:6)

David said, “Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.” (Psalm 51:4)

Social justice calls for a renouncing of the sins of our national fathers, and even of all white men.

What about your biggest problem, your own sins? Today it’s John A. Macdonald, or perhaps John Ferguson, or Johnny Appleseed, or whoever the system decides to finger.

Understanding Divine justice leads to a change in heart, a change of life. Paul commended the Corinthian church for their sincerity in this.

“For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you ... In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.” (II Corinthians 7:11)

What does social justice white-hating lead to – a resolve never to found a country like Canada???

A sense of divine justice leads ultimately to realization of the need of personal salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us on the cross.

Social justice programs have a suspicious way of advancing the globalist agenda and dismantling the things Christianity has blessed us with in home and state.
