CONWAY, WANDA (NEE GREENAN)

The funeral for Wanda Conway (nee Greenan) of Summerside and formerly of Middleton, PEI, wife of the late Emmett Conway, was held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 am by Rev. Doug MacDonald. The pall was placed on the casket by grandson, William Conway. Cross bearer was Karen McKenna. Mass servers were Bertha & Neville Lawless. The first scripture reading was proclaimed by Betty Power and the second reading by Ellen McCarville. Prayers of intercessi­on were led by Rev. Doug MacDonald. The St. Malachy’s Senior Choir sang the procession­al hymn, Peace is Flowing; responsori­al psalm, The Lord Is My Shepherd; offertory hymn, Hail Mary, Gentle Woman; communion hymn, Amazing Grace and recessiona­l hymn, How Great Thou Art. Organist was Joan Gauvin. Pall bearers were Clarence McCarville, Barry McCarville, Gerard Hammill, Ian Toole, Frank Toole and Paul Conway. Flower bearers were Erma Toole, Arlene McCormick and Nancy Gallant. Honorary pall bearers were all attending the funeral. Eucharisti­c ministers were Barb McCardle and Lenny Keefe. Usher was Lenny Johnston. Attending the funeral were members of the CWL who formed an honor guard, as well as St. Paul’s Church, Summerside Prayer Group and residents of Chesapeake Heights on Brophy St., Summerside. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. Doug officiatin­g. On Wednesday, September 6 the CWL said prayers prior to the visitation. Arrangemen­ts were entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.
