Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’ Leary, on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 with his loving family by his side of Henry “Allan” Lewis of North Bedeque and formerly of Union, P.E., aged 85 years. Beloved husband to Ruth Pauline (nee Kristianse­n) Lewis. Born at Union P.E.I on September 5, 1935, he was the son of the late John R. and Mary E. (nee Smith) Lewis. Loving father to Robert of Edmonton, Alberta, Erskine (Darlene) of Bedeque, Brian (Christine) of Bedeque, Anita (Darryl) Rayner of Cascumpec, Nancy (Mike) Sobey of Millet, Alberta, James (Arlene) of Summerside. He will be sadly missed by his twelve grandchild­ren and by his four great grandchild­ren. He is also survived by a brother Elmer (Betty) Lewis, Union and by brothers and sisters in law, Mae (Grant) Milligan of Summerside, Roy (Grace) Kristianse­n of Freetown, Wilfred (Elizabeth) Kristianse­n of Middlesex, N.B., Doris (Eric) Dyment of Springhill, Brenda (Brian) Beaton of Bedeque, Beverley (Douglas) Breene of Belmont Lot 16. He was predecease­d by two children, Glenn and Tracy, his siblings, Earl (Clara) Lewis, Olive (Claude) Lewis, Alfred (Joyce) Lewis, and by his father and mother in law, Paul and Jean (nee Compton) Kristianse­n. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday morning from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Darrock Fagan officiatin­g. Interment in the Baptist Cemetery Union. As an expression of sympathy, memorials in Allan’s name may be made to the Union Baptist Cemetery fund would be gratefully appreciate­d.
