The funeral for the late Jamie Joseph Perry, loving Fiancé to Heidi Elizabeth White of Summerside, was held on Wednesday September 13, 2017 from the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton to St, Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish where funeral mass was celebrated at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Brendon Gallant who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on, The co-celebrant was Rev. Albin Arsenault. The pall was draped over the casket by Fiance Heidi, Mother Darlene and siblings Brian, Bruce, Jody. The pascal candle was lit by Uncle Eugene Bernard. The first reading was addressed by aunt Leah Kinch who also led the assembly with the prayers of the faithfull. The second reading was addressed by aunt Lorna Yuill. The gifts were presented at the alter by Tracy Perry and Jalessa Perry. The Crucifer was Clarence Gallant and the candle bearers were Charles Bernard and Joseph Des-Roches. The Choir was under the direction of the cantor Vincent Doucette and the organist was Antoinette Perry. The Procession­al hymn was Amazing Grace. The psalm was The Lord is my Shepherd, The Offertory hymn was I Will never forget you my People. The Communion hymn was Like A Shepherd. The song of fairwell was Songs of the Angels. The Recessiona­l hymn was How Great Thou Art. The Pallbearer­s were Brian Perry, Brandon Perry, Dawson Perry, Blair Des-Roches, Duane Gaudette, Tanner Ramsay. The Flower bearers were Kaitlon Perry, Amber White, Atara Yuill, Renee Kinch. Everyone present for the funeral liturgy were considered to be Honorary Pallbearer­s. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. Brandon Gallant officiatin­g.
