Tribute to country music legends

Concerts to benefit Summerside Trinity United Church and QEH Foundation

-

Country Blend is coming back to P.E.I. by popular demand. They offer a mix of traditional country music, country gospel, and a generous sprinkling of humour - all performed at a comfortable listening volume.

Their song repertoire is comprised of hits from the great music legends including Johnny Cash, Kitty Wells, Jim Reeves, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, and Hank Williams Jr. The high energy of Gordy “Crazy Fingers” Lindquist will keep you in stitches. The smooth voices of Dianne Lodge, Evelyn Ramage, and Henry Martens blend in beautiful harmony with the guitar, bass, and piano. Rounding out the sound is the soft beat of Ken Lodge on the drums.

Country Blend has been touring since 2004. Collectively, the group has recorded 10 CDs and have made these songs available for listening on their website countryblend.ca for no charge.

Two of these CDs feature Lindquist on piano sharing his renditions of favourites such as “Somewhere My Love” and “The Green Green Grass of Home.” His live performances highlight his showmanship and sense of humour. Most of the band members hail from farming communities in Manitoba.
