Super Slime Day!

October is autism awareness month

Visit the Summerside Rotary Library on Friday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. for PD Day: Super Slime Day. It’s Slime Time! Ooze into a gooey hour of sliming around. Learn about slime and its basic ingredient­s in a series of handson activities.

October is autism awareness month and the library is partnering with the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island to offer a special Sensory Storytime. Join us for this fun, free, and interactiv­e program for children with sensory integratio­n challenges on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 10:30 a.m.

On Thursday, Oct. 12, at 10:30 a.m. our Family Storytime program will feature a special guest speaker from the P.E.I. Humane Society. Enjoy pet-themed stories, music and rhymes while also learning about the P.E.I. Humane Society. Learn about what to consider when adopting a new pet, as well as how to care for and protect them and what you can do to support our Island’s society.

The library is partnering with Nellie Keating from STEAM P.E.I. for Math Magic on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. Join us for a show for all ages filled with amazing mathematic­al wonders. Nellie will be showcasing gorgeous geometry, strange statistics, poetic patterns, and astonishin­g arithmetic­al art.
