BERNARD, JUDY (AUGUSTINE)

The funeral Mass for Judy (Augustine) Bernard, beloved wife of Kenny Bernard, was held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Lennox Island, First Nations, at 11 a.m. where Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Andrew Handrahan, who proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the Homily. The altar server was Jimmy Bernard. The first reading, from Isaiah, was offered by Laura Augustine. The second reading, from Romans, was offered by Robbie Augustine. The Prayers of the Faithful were offered by Dawn Ann Levi. Organist, Sister Bernice Smith, led the congregation in singing Seek Ye First, The Lord Is My Shepherd, “Be Still And Know I Am God”, “Amazing Grace”, Songs Of The Angels and How Great Thou Art. Everyone in attendance was considered an honorary pallbearer. The pallbearers were Marty Augustine, Tommy Labobe, Bobby Levi, Gary Francis, Billy Augustine, Donald Levi, Troy Bernard and Angus Coutts. The flower bearers were Brent Bernard and Austin Augustine. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
