Rash of thefts hits Stratford area

Once again, Stratford RCMP is trying to track down the cause of a string of thefts in the community.

It issued a statement today saying it is investigat­ing thefts occurring between October 7-10. A person or group has been entering unlocked vehicles, garages and sheds in the Stratford area.

A wide variety of items and small amounts of cash have been taken during overnight hours on those three days. Police are asking for help from the public by way of tips about this latest crime spree.

To give a tip directly to a police officer, call Queens District RCMP at 902-368-9300.

To give a tip, but remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward, contact Crime Stoppers, either on the Internet and follow the various ways to make a tip, including through Facebook, or with a toll-free, anonymous phone call to 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
