Music will be returning to the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall.

Music will be returning to the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall when a variety show, featuring local artists, will be staged there Sunday, Oct. 29.

“Our cooperative is organizing another great show to help the Notre-Dame-du-MontCarmel Parish,” explained Edmond Gallant, president of the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de MontCarmel. “During the past few years, we have held two shows, one in the spring and one in the fall, to raise money for our parish. We sincerely hope that, once again, many people will attend our concert so that we can raise a good sum of money to help it pay its expenses.” Some of the artists who have agreed to perform for the fundraiser are the Grand Ruisseau Choir, Jacinthe Laforest, Zita Arsenault, Emily McIsaac, Paloudes, Albert à Eddie and family, Louise Arsenault and the Joe Narcisse family, as well as Faustin, Évéline and Marguerite Gallant.

There will also be several step-dancers performing.

Gallant expressed his appreciation to all the artists “who have agreed to share their talents without pay for our parish.”

The concert starts at 7 p.m. at the hall at 5786 Rte. 11 in MontCarmel.

There will be a canteen and a 50/50 draw, as well as a bake sale.

Wellington author, Normand Richard, will also have copies of his book “Courage to Spare” for sale at the event. Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for students. There is no charge for preschoolers.
