Old Man Luedecke and Breabach are coming together for an evening of folk and roots music at Harbourfront Theatre Sunday.
Two award-winning acts come together for one exceptional evening of folk and roots music at Harbourfront Theatre, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m.
Old Man Luedecke is a modern-day people’s poet, travelling bard and balladeer. He’s played around the world to an increasing fan base and won two JUNO awards in the process. Old Man Luedecke has always insisted on a solid poetic heft in the way he uses words, and highly personal stories are what have always connected him to the universal in his audience.
He sings, “You can’t fake a work of heart,” and to spend an evening with his music, you know that each of his songs is not only a work of art but a true work of heart.
The haunting strains of twin bagpipes have become a defining signature of Breabach – a chiming herald of Scottish folk being embraced by a new generation. The energetic five-piece delivers a thrilling and unique brand of contemporary folk music.
