BUTLER, MARY ANGELA (NEE MCCARTHY)

The funeral for the late Mary Angela (nee McCarthy) Butler, beloved wife of the late Clarence Butler of Glengarry P.E.I was held on Wednesday November 1, 2017 from the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel Alberton to St. Marks Roman Catholic Church, Burton Lot. 7, P.E.I where funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Andrew MacDonald who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on and fair well. The First reading, a reading from the book of Ecclesiast­es was addressed by niece, Natalie Bulger. The second reading, a reading from St. Paul to the Philippian­s was addressed by Granddaugh­ter in law, Marlene Ramsay who also invited the prayers of the faith full. The Crucifer was James Clements. St. Marks choir was under the direction of the organist Lorne Howard. The Procession­al hymn was, Here I Am Lord, the Psalm was The Lord is my Shepherd, The Offertory hymn was O Lord I Am Not Worthy, The Communion hymn was Be Not Afraid, The Song of fairwell was Songs of the Angels, The Recessiona­l hymn was How Great Thou Art. The Honorary pallbearer­s were, Beverley Howard, Jean Arsenault, Jeannie O’Brien, Elaine Bulger, Leah Guary, Linda Rogers. The active pallbearer­s were Raeford Rogers, James McCarthy, Donnie McCarthy, Terry Butler Jr. Dale Howard, David Ramsay. The bulletins were distribute­d by Grant Murphy, The usher was Barry Rogers .Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiatin­g.
