The funeral for George R. Pickering of Clinton was held Sunday November 12, 2017 in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel Kensington where the service was conducted at 3 p.m. by Rev. Robert McCarthy. Scripture Readings and a prayer were given by Rev Jack Spencer. Congregational hymns were Lord, I’m Coming Home, Unto the Hills and Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross. Organist was Bethany Dawson. Attending the funeral were representatives of MacLeod Care Clinton View Lodge. Flower bearers were Dawn Taylor, Sharon MacEwen and Opal MacEwen. Honorary Pallbearers were Valerie Woodside, Judy Stavert, Mary Hickey, Louise Heaney and Tracey MacEwen. Pallbearers were Ernest MacEwen, George MacEwen, Ken Taylor, Peter Harris, Mark Woodside and Paul MacEwen. Interment was in the Margate United Church Cemetery.
