The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Sunday, November

12th, 2017 of

Olaf Lawson MacDonald of Summerside, P.E.I. aged 78 years. Olaf was born in Tyne – Valley, P.E.I. to the late Lawson and Angie (nee McNeill) MacDonald. Beloved husband of Lucie (nee Gallant) MacDonald and loving father of Darlene (Mike) Duffney, Thane (Wilma Coles) MacDonald, William (Jenny Young) MacDonald, Mike (Harriet Jolsma) MacDonald, Stepson Edgar (Barb) Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by his 7 grandchild­ren and 6 great grandchild­ren. Survived by his brothers and sisters Ruth, Nancy, Lloyd MacDonald, Joyce Bramer and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Olaf was predecease­d by his Daughter Alma MacDonald, brothers and sisters Elaine Perry, Ingham, Lowell, Elwood and Lester MacDonald and Roger Broom. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, November 15th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Olaf’s memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciate­d.
