Johnny Reid coming to Charlottetown
Tickets on sale now for April 20 concert
Chart-topping, multi-platinum, award winning singersongwriter Johnny Reid announced recently he will embark on a 2018 “Revival” national tour that will include Charlottetown.
The Soul Providers and the group Glass Tiger will join Reid and his Big Band on the tour.
They will be in Charlottetown on Friday, April 20, at the Eastlink Centre.
With a career spanning more than two decades, Reid has captured the hearts of fans and audiences around the world. The tour of 44 dates begins Feb. 26 in British Columbia and includes two-night stands in Sidney, B.C.; Regina and Saskatoon, Sask.; Edmonton, Alta.; Thunder Bay and Toronto, Ont.; and Moncton, N.B. The Moncton stops on April 17 and 18 will be for all ages.
The tour is in support of Reid’s new album “Revival,” available everywhere now via Universal Music Canada.
His publicity agency says “a critically acclaimed vocalist, the blue-collared, soulful singersongwriter, Reid is widely known for his lyrical honesty and musical ability, as demonstrated by his extensive catalogue of hit songs, album sales totalling over 1.5 million units, countless awards and multiple sold-out national arena tours.”
His new album “Revival” is coproduced by Reid and Bob Ezrin who produced for KISS and Alice Cooper.
“Revival” is Reid’s first collection of new material since “What Love Is All About” released in 2015.
Reid is a six-time Juno Award winner and 26-time CCMA Awards recipient.
For the Charlottetown concert, doors will open at 6 p.m. for the show that starts at 7 p.m.
