Embrace The Hustle at Tourism Conference and Awards Gala

The Tourism Industry Associatio­n of Prince Edward Island (TIAPEI) is hosting the annual Tourism Conference & Awards Gala at the Delta Prince Edward on Nov. 22 and 23.

The awards gala will be held on this evening from 6 to 10 p.m. and will honour some of the top recognized individual­s in tourism across P.E.I. with the presentati­on of 10 awards throughout the evening. Thursday’s tourism conference theme is “The Hustle.” It will be held at the Delta Prince Edward in Charlottet­own as a full-day event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The conference will include a panel discussion with five industry members of all ages. Conference attendees can learn best practices and ask questions of how each panelist has faced challenges and successes and embraced “The Hustle”.

The day will also include the TIAPEI annual meeting and a presentati­on from Tourism P.E.I. on the 2016/17 tourism numbers. Charlotte Bell from Tourism Industry Associatio­n of Canada and Keith Henry from Aboriginal Tourism Associatio­n of Canada will be keynote speakers.
