BLACQUIERE, MARIE “EMILY”

The death occurred peacefully at Andrews Lodge, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 of

Marie “Emily” Blacquiere (nee Arsenault) of Summerside, aged 100 years.

Emily was born in Egmont Bay,

P.E.I. to her late parents, Leon and Marie Arsenault. Beloved wife of the late Leo Blacquiere and loving mother of Betty (Donald) Pickering of Clinton and David (Sandra) Blacquiere of New London. Also lovingly remembered by her sister Aline Poirier of Wellington, her grandchild­ren Jamie (Lisa), Gordon (Somrak), Robb (Nadia), Tom (Linda), Paula (Shawn), and Coreen (Duncan), her greatgrand­children Kaitlin, Sophia, Tanawat, Stella and Jacob, and her sister-in-law Catherine Arsenault. Survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and her husband, Emily was predecease­d by her son Ron Blacquiere, her sisters Lena (Archie) Barriault, Corinne (Frank) Gauntt, Mathilda (Dolor) Richard and Dorothy (Richard) Morgan, her brothers Ted (Irene) Arsenault, Fred (Eugenie) Arsenault, Edmond (Virginia) Arsenault, John (Auldine) Arsenault, Peter Arsenault and her brother-in-law Ulric Poirier. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, December 5th, then to St. Paul’s Church Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Emily’s memory to St. Paul’s Church Cemetery Fund or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciate­d.
