12 Days of KISHmas continue

- BY ABBY CHRISTOPHER AND CALLIE CHAMPION

This week at KISH, students continued the 12 Days of KISHmas.

On Monday, there was a Christmas Plinko game at lunch, where select students won some prizes.

Our senior high basketball teams represented the school well, the women’s team defeating Bluefield in a nail-biting match. Our men’s team played very well against Bluefield, but couldn’t pull off the win. Tuesday was Santa Hat Day when students showed their enthusiasm for the holidays. Later our junior high boys AA basketball team challenged Athena.

On Wednesday the school hosted a fun “Pin the Nose on the Reindeer” activity at lunch. After school that day badminton was open to all from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

The junior girls basketball team and the junior boys A basketball team later played very strong games, making our school proud. Thursday students decked themselves out for Christmas Sock and Tie Day. The annual KISH Christmas concert was a huge success. All performers did an outstanding job. On Friday, it was Hot Chocolate Day when we gave free hot chocolate out to students. Our senior basketball teams were back on the court playing the Charlottetown Rural 2 teams.

Next week, the 12 Days of KISHmas will carry on as Christmas gets closer. Monday will be Pajama Day, which is always a favourite dress-up day for students. Tuesday is Homeroom Challenge Day where every homeroom picks a Christmas carol for their class to dress up as. We can’t wait to see some creative outfits for this activity as classrooms get competitive. Wednesday there will be Christmas music playing at lunch. Students will be open to do karaoke or lip sync on the stage. We are looking forward to a good time. Thursday is Holiday Dress Your Best Day. Students are encouraged to dress nice and to bring holiday spirit. Friday is Green, White and Red Day. Students will be wearing our school colours, but with a Christmas twist. It will also be the last day of school before Christmas break.
