DOUCETTE, William “Willie” Arthur

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Friday, December 15th, 2017 of William “Willie” Arthur Doucette of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 83 years. Willie was born in Miscouche, P.E.I. to the late Cyrus and Margaret (nee Perry) Doucette. Beloved husband of Bertha (nee Bernard) Doucette and loving father of James (Viola), Donna (Mike) Arsenault, Robert (Debera Dawn), Clifford, and Rennie Doiron. Also lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchild­ren Aleah, Kayla, Rebecca, Joey, Ava-Grace, and Jase, 5 great grandchild­ren Isaac, Carson, Parker, Aden, and Teylor and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers and sister Geralda (Francis), Hector, John (Bonita), Wilfred, sisters in-law Donna and Shirley, brother in-law David Simmonds. Besides his parents, Willie was predecease­d by his brothers and sisters Gus, Harry (Evelyn), Emile, Rita Broderick, Leona Doucette, Josephine Simmonds, Francis, Hector and sister in-law Josie Doucette. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 where a funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. Memorial donations in Willie’s memory to the P.E.I. Parkinson Society or the Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciate­d.
