Canadians choose Top 18 places to visit in 2018

-

Time to crack your knuckles, open your calendar, get out the maps and decide where to visit in 2018. However, if you need some advise, a number of Canadians suggest Cavendish, P. E. I., as a good place to vacation. Instead of suggesting a number of places worth the trip this year, the folks at Expedia Canada conducted a survey of 1,000 Canadians and asked them “which city they’d recommend their fellow travellers visit in the new year.”

Some of the responses were specific around certain cities, while other responses recommended provinces as a whole. “Using these answers as a baseline, we’re happy to present the 18 cities you need to visit in 2018, as chosen by real Canadians,” states Jessica Estrada, communication specialist with Expedia Canada.

One P. E. I. location made the top picks. Prince Edward Island wasn’t the only thing mentioned by the survey- takers; Cavendish itself was recommended by name.

“Could it be the beautiful scenery? The soft waves? Or is it because of the Cavendish Beach Music Festival that’s so good and so loud, your body will feel like it’s vibrating with the beats?” asks the Expedia Canada Travel Blog.

“The event recently announced the first artist for its 10th anniversary show, and trust us, it’s going to be a doozy.”

Based on the survey results, Expedia suggests some top things to do in 2018 on the Island.

“It’s a no- brainer that the can’t- miss event of 2018 is the Cavendish Beach Music Festival. Luke Bryan is the headliner, which is already creating enormous buzz on the Island. The rest of the lineup is coming soon.”

They also suggest heading into Charlottetown to Piatto Pizzeria. This popular spot offers a pizza of the week contest, where you can create the perfect pizza ( and win a prize). “They recently offered a ‘ brain food’ pie that featured vitaminrich ingredients, with proceeds going to mental health organizations.”

After attending the concerts and eating pizza, the Canadians surveyed suggested going to Cavendish Beach just to walk around, stretch out, and enjoy the new year.
