GALLANT, LOUIS J.

The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Tuesday January 9, 2018 of Louis J. Gallant of Alberton aged 77 years. Beloved husband of Rita (Thibodeau) Gallant. He was born in Miminegash on April 16, 1940, the son of Mary Ann Gallant and the late John T. Gallant. Dear father to Sandra (Billy) Gaudet, St. Lawrence; Trudy Allen, LaCombe, Alberta and Kimberly Gallant, Fredericton. Loving grandfather to Matthew and Megan Gaudet; Kayla and Kyle Allen. He is also survived by siblings Bernie Gallant; Mabel Thibodeau; Bertha (Gerald) Murphy; Alyre (Elsie) Gallant; Wayne (Louanne) Gallant; Jackie (Marian) Gallant; Ellen (Wayne) Hayward; Benny Gallant; Gerald Gallant; Eileen (Blair) Kinch; Kenny (Val) Gallant; Geraldine Gallant (Bev.) and Ann Love. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Irene Gallant; Helen (George) Gourlie; Elaine (Claude) Malette and Geraldine (Ed) Emerson. He was predeceased by father John, brother Reggie, son-inlaw Bill Allen, sister-in-law Lorraine Gallant,and brotherin-law William Thibodeau. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, No Visiting Hours As A Personal Request. Funeral will be held Friday January 12, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Interment will take place later in church cemetery.
