How to get involved

The Alzheimer Society of P.E.I. suggests a number of ways the public can get involved in tackling the stigma of dementia. They include:

– Attend a conference with Teepa Snow on Monday, Jan. 22. Visit, www.dementiapei.ca to register

– ‘Stop the stigma! Be a Friend, Visit and Share’ knowledge and experiences with others

– Use positive language and speak up against jokes on dementia

– Volunteer with the Alzheimer Society by visiting www.alzpei. ca

– Use the hashtag #ILiveWithDementia to help spread the word.
