Nominees being accepted for 2018 inductions

The P.E.I. Sports Hall of Fame is calling for nominees for its 2018 inductions.
The Hall of Fame is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year (1968-2018). Scheduled for this summer, the induction ceremony and dinner will recognize Island athletes, builders or teams that have brought great athletic distinction to the province. Currently, the Hall has more than 186 members.
Criteria for induction states that a builder must have given at least 10 years of outstanding service, an athlete must have been retired for at least five years or be considered five years past their athletic peak.
Teams will be considered who have enjoyed success either in the region or on the national stage.
Athletes and builders must have been either born in Prince Edward Island or have been considered a resident for at least four years at the height of their sporting career.
