The funeral for Omar L. Chaisson, Tignish was held Saturday February 10, 2018 from the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road to St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish where funeral mass was celebrated by Rev. Brandon Gallant who also delivered the homily and had the prayers of final commendation and farewell. The first reading was read by Evanne Doucette. The second reading was read by Maggie Graham. The prayers of the faithful were read by Paul Gaudet. The choir sang under the direction of Vincent Doucette accompanied by organist Diane Handrahan. Processional hymn was “Blest Are The Pure In Heart”. Psalm was “I Will Praise Your Name Forever”. Offertory hymn was “Jesus, Je Voudrais”. Communion hymn was “Gifts Of Finest Wheat”. Farewell song was “Songs Of The Angel”. Recessional hymn was “Sing With All The Saints In Glory”. Altar servers were James Hogan, Clarence Gallant and Neil LeClair. The pascal candle was lit by son Tony Chaisson. The urn bearer was son John Chaisson. Flower bearers were Sara, Courtney, Tony, Piper, Parker and Aleea. Interment will take place at a later date in the parish cemetery.
