Showing appreciati­on for staff

This week at KISH was Staff Appreciati­on Week. Students created a “What I Like About You” poster where they wrote down what they love about KISH staff.

On Monday, Todd Dyment, a senior high teacher at KISH received the Extra Mile Award. Congratula­tions! The Senior High Men and Women Basketball teams played Rural 2. The women lost 43-26 and the men lost 37-99.

The Knights of Columbus Free Throw results came in. For the girls, Julia Folland, Bailey Butler and Hillary Murray won their age divisions. For the boys, Matthew Clark, Jeremiah Sampson, and Robert Baquiran won.

On Tuesday, the junior girls basketball team won 49-29 against Athena, and the boys 54-16 against Athena. Wednesday, KISH staff had a potluck at lunch with food provided by parents and student council. Staff was very thankful and deserving. In the evening the gym was packed with basketball practices. Thursday, Student Council had a morning MO-MO where a video was shown. In it KISH students said what they appreciate about the KISH staff. There were also representa­tives from several universiti­es that stopped in to give informatio­n to senior high students.

After school the Junior High Boys A basketball team played TBD, while the AA team challenged Hernewood. Friday, students had no classes.

Next week students have Monday off due to Islander Day.
