-

On Feb. 19th. 2017- Reggie died suddenly at Prince County Hospital, at the age of 67. Reggie was born on Feb. 7th, 1950 to Howard and Alice Gaudet, of St. Louis. He was the youngest of twelve children. In 1970 Reggie and Juanita (Shea) were married, and were blessed to have three children- Troy, Trevor and Natalie. Reggie graduated from UPEI in 1974 with a BED and started his teaching career. He enjoyed teaching Math and Science at secondary and high school levels and coaching softball and field hockey. Reg retired in 2005 after 31 years of service with Western School Board. Reg had a special way of teaching his students and made learning fun! Students enjoyed his sense of humor. Reggie and Juanita built their home in St. Louis and he became very active in Community affairs, such as the Sports Committee and the Municipality of St. Louis . He was one of the Founding members for the West Prince Funeral Home, as well as the Knights of Columbus in Palmer Road. Sports was a big part of Reggie’s life, playing HAB Club hockey and softball. He was also a strong follower of the Montreal Canadians. , always having rivalry with his Maple Leaf friends. Reggie enjoyed farming the Gaudet property in his younger years and after he retired he spent ten years working for a farmer, driving tractors and working the farm land. He had the greatest respect for Nature and animals and this passion was passed on to our children. Whatever Reggie played or worked at, it was to the max or whole hog. Always competitive! Never backing down. People loved to hear Reggie’s stories and jokes, especially his brothers and sisters at the end of a long conversation on the phone. Reggie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Always welcoming people into our home with open arms. Reggie had strong qualities of friendship and generosity to everyone.
