Mardi Gras Gala returns
Five-course meal and Louisiana trio at Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside
The Mardi Gras Gala, organized by La Belle-Alliance, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24. The evening will feature a five-course Cajun meal and numerous artists including a trio from Louisiana.
“Last year, La Belle-Alliance held its very first Mardi Gras Gala and the event was a huge success, said Juanita Lewis, vice-president of La Belle-Alliance. “We’ve decided to host it again this year and to take it to a new level.”
The dance following the meal will feature a trio from Louisiana formed by musical artists Joel Savoy, Jesse Lege and Kelli Jones.
The evening starts at 6 p.m. with aperitifs served in the Salon Pierre-Part and entertainment by Julien Robichaud. The five-course Cajun meal will be served starting at 6:45 p.m. and while enjoying the meal, guests will be entertained by Emmanuelle and Philippe LeBlanc.

the evening will be: jalapeno cornbread, cream of garlic soup, iced shrimp horseradish salsa, crab cakes and corn salad, blackened Nova Scotia haddock served with roasted red pepper sour cream, red beans and rice and will end with bourbon brown butter mocha cake,” indicates Chef Stephanie Hughes. Tickets for the evening are available for $50 each and must be reserved before 4 p.m. on Feb. 20. Tickets for the dance only are available for $10 each in advance or at the door.
