Megan Ellands among lineup for Bonshaw Ceilidh this weekend
Singer/songwriter, Megan Ellands, will be one of the special guests at the Bonshaw Ceilidh Concert on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Bonshaw Hall. Ellands has been performing in public events since she was nine. She won P.E.I.’s Got Talent in 2013 with her song “Civil War,” which was used for the antibullying team (called Reach Out) at Bluefield High School when Ellands was attending school there.
She is currently enrolled in the music performance program at Holland College and performs at weddings, concerts, ceilidhs and family gatherings.
Other performers at the Bonshaw Ceilidh will be Thomas Kirkham (formerly of the Grass Mountain Hobos), singer and pianist Amie Picketts, fiddler Laura Lefebvre, multi-instrumentalists Karen Graves and Cam MacDuffie along with local regulars: Herb MacDonald, Phil Pineau, Andrea Corder and/or Tony the Troubador.
There is a 50/50 draw, lunch and open stage time. Admission is by donation with proceeds going to P.E.I. Wild Child nature immersion programs (www.facebook.com/ wildchildpei).
All ages are welcome and the hall is accessible for smaller wheelchairs.
