REMINGTON Antoinette Marie (nee Chaisson)

The funeral for the late Antoinette Marie (nee Chaisson) Remington, of the Maplewood Manor Alberton and formerly of Tignish, was held on Tuesday March 6, 2018 from the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton to St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish where funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Brendon E. Gallant who delivered the Homily and had the prayers of final commendati­on and farewell. The first reading

was addressed by daughter in Law Betty Lou Remington, who also invited the prayers of the faithful. The second reading was addressed by nephew in law, Victor Doucette. The Gifts were presented at the alter by son Terry Remington and daughter Charlene Nichols. The Eucharisti­c ministers were Rev. Albin Arsenault. James Hogan and Louis Shea. The Crucifer was Louis Shea and the candle bearers were James Hogan and Charles Bernard. The choir was under the direction of the Cantor Mary Perry. The organist was Diane Handrahan. The procession­al

hymn was Here I Am Lord. The psalm was The Lord is My Shepherd. The offertory hymn was J’irai la Voix un Jour. The Communion hymn was Gifts of Finest Wheat. The song of farewell was Songs of the Angels. The recessiona­l hymn was Be Not Afraid. Attending the funeral were staff from the Maplewood Manor Alberton. The pallbearer­s were Terry Remington, Charlene Nicholas, Terry Nicholas, Reginald Remington, Vincent Doucette, Curtis Doucette.
