The first goal of the game was scored by the RCMP Safety bear.

The police officers noted the Timbits Kindergarten to Grade 3 students offered some of the stiffest competition.

The RCMP made several arrests during the game of students who were scoring too many goals, and the referee, who the RCMP claimed was one-sided. In the end, the games were too close to call and a re-match is scheduled for next year.
