This experience­d team has collective­ly won five national medals in singles (three gold, one silver, one bronze) over the past six years. Also, five of the six athletes have competed previously in singles at the nationals. Burns has coached Team P.E.I. at every national tournament since 1997. His teams won gold medals in 2000 and 2002, and McKenzie-Dalton has competed and coached at the national level for British Columbia and P.E.I. for 30 years.
