Spring shows
This spring Harbourfront Theatre has a full and varied lineup of shows from a circus troupe, to tribute entertainers, to “Coronation Street” stars and more.
Spring will be here to stay before we know it, and this spring Harbourfront Theatre has a full lineup of shows to keep Islanders entertained as the snow melts.
In April, Harbourfront presents Rosie & the Riveters, a vintage folk-inspired trio whose music empowers and challenges all who listen. This group, whose trademark look involves red lipstick, pin curls, and 1940s-style clothes, comes to the theatre April
13. Harbourfront staff is encouraging audience members to see the show dressed up in their favourite 1940s looks.
Also in April, Classic Albums Live returns to the stage bringing Supertramp’s “Breakfast in America” back to life on April
15.
In May, the circus comes to town with Flip Fabrique, a contemporary cirque troupe from Quebec. The group will perform their fun-filled and engaging show “Catch Me” on May 6.
Later that same month, Harbourfront welcomes Neil Diamond impersonator, Jay White, to the stage May 26 with his Las Vegas show “Jay White – America’s Diamond: A Tribute to Neil Diamond.”
On May 29, “Coronation Street” returns to Heather Moyse Drive with the longrunning TV soap star William Roache bringing his “Ken Barlow Effect Tour” to Summerside.
In addition to all of these Harbourfront presentations, the theatre welcomes the Atlantic Academy of Performing Arts original show “Awake: Grieving is Complicated” on April 7, VaughnCo Entertainment’s production of “The Ultimate Beatles vs. Stones Tribute Show: Battle of the Brits!” on April 17, and Paquette Productions’ presentation of their “Legends Show” with tributes to Elvis, Connie Francis, Roy Orbison, and Tom Jones on April
27.
