Benefit for Joan Harding

The New London Community Complex is hosting a benefit for Joan Harding on Friday, April 6, from 7 to 9 pm, to cover expenses associated with her medical care (Storm date, April 7). Joan, employed at Island Waste Management in New London, is a dedicated, longservin­g member of the Stanley Bridge Memorial Society’s board of directors. The benefit features a donation box, a silent auction, raffles, a Surf n’ Turf Basket, a decorated cake and entertainm­ent. Joan has had surgery in Halifax and is currently undergoing chemo and radiation. Money raised from the benefit will help with her travel and other expenses while she is off work.
