MOON MATTERS…

-

Each day, there are two high tides and two low tides. There is about 12 hours and 25 minutes between the two high tides. Most of us know that when the moon is full, the high tides are very high and the low tides very low. But did you know the same thing occurs during a new moon? When the sun and moon are aligned, the gravitational pull of the moon and sun are combined, creating exceptionally strong gravitational forces. This happens when the moon is full but also when it is new. This month’s new moon was yesterday!
