RAYNER, JAMES LEROY
The funeral for the late James LeRoy Rayner beloved husband to the late Betty Phyllis Rayner of Central Kildare, was held on Sunday Afternoon April 22,2018 from the Alberton Apostolic Pentecostal Church where funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. by his Pastor, Rev. Gilbert Pearson, who brought words of comfort to the family, During the service, Grandson son in law, Rev. Matthew Coomer gave words of remembrance. The Eulogy was delivered by daughter Brenda Edgar. Family tributes in memory of their father were addressed by Son, James Rayner who also rendered the selection, “From Heavens Point of View,” pianist was Nicole Rayner. Daughter Kathy Berry, and granddaughter Sydni Rayner. A Poem, A Letter from Heaven was read by granddaughter Jamie Lewis. Also during the service grandson, Kevin Lewis grandson rendered the piece, Go Rest High on that Mountain, pianist was Doreen Lewis, Daughter Carol Steeves (accompanying herself on piano) rendered “In Front of the Throne”. A Quartet consisting of granddaughters, Becky Rayner, Karina Rayner, Vicki Coomer, and daughter in law Nicole Rayner sang, Now That You Know. The pianist was Vicki Coomer. The congregational hymns were Peace of God Cover me led by granddaughter Karina Rayner and What a Day that will Be. The pianist for the funeral were daughters, Carol Steeves, Doreen Lewis, granddaughter Vicki Coomer and daughter in law Nicole Rayner. The honorary pallbearers were grandsons Nathan Steeves and Kenny Rayner. The active pallbearers were grandsons, Blake Edgar, Kevin Lewis, Collin Rayner, Timothy Rayner, Robert Rayner, Allison Berry. The flower bearers were granddaughters, Amanda Berry, Andrea Berry, Alyssa Berry Diamond, Naomi Steeves, Nicole Ramesar, Duska Boyd, Rebecca Rayner, Hannah Rayner, Charity Rayner, Colleen Edgar, Kayla Edgar, Emma Bartlett, Sydni Rayner. Attending the service were the staff from Dr. Gomez Dental Practice Tignish and staff from Kildare Fisheries. Interment was in the Pentecostal Cemetery, Foy Road, Brooklyn with Pastor Gilbert Pearson officiating. The final hymn was” In the Garden” led by granddaughter Vicki Coomer.
